Photo + Video Rentals
We welcome all kinds of photographers in our studio spaces! Most of our inquiries involve non-commercial shoots (as in, no money is exchanged) with minimal gear (meaning no backdrops or multi-light rigs). Maybe you’re a studio member wanting to bring in a photographer friend to take casual photos together.
However, we also welcome commercial photography in our studios! Scroll down for more information about both types of shoots!
Casual Photoshoots
To book a casual photoshoot in our spaces, the process is super simple.
Studio members coordinate with the photographer to choose a date and time for non-commercial photoshoots (no backdrops, large lights, or large groups). Be sure to select a time when classes and events are not happening in the studio.
Photographers and non-members each book a pole rental (for each hour of the shoot). Studio members do not need to pay any additional fees.
Make some art together. It’s that easy!
Important info & policies for non-commercial shoots:
Remember to select the room you’re booking into at the top of the page! Many of our studios have multiple rooms.
This process is for our non-commercial photoshoots (between friends, with minimal equipment). For larger commercial shoots where payment is exchanged between participants, please fill out the form below!
If you need time for setup or strike in addition to your shoot time, please book additional hours.
Other dancers will likely be in the studio during your shoot! Please be considerate of their space and experience.
Every person in our studio (even observers) needs to have created an account, signed the studio waiver, and paid the rental fee.
Commercial Photoshoots
We work with commercial photographers on an application basis, for the safety of our community. This allows us to plan ahead to reserve entire rooms or full studios for elaborate shoots with lighting and backdrops.
With our standard agreement, the photographer handles booking through their own platform and collects payments. We will promote the shoot to our members through our social media, studio announcements and newsletters, using the photographer’s promo photos or reels.
This model usually operates on an 80/20 revenue split with the studio, with no additional fees for the photographer. We’re also happy to offer one of our staff members as a photo assistant in trade for a slot in the shoot.
We reserve the right to approve or deny any photoshoot request from commercial photographers. Please submit an application with tentative dates and times to our studio manager, and we’ll get back to you shortly.
