Residencies
Want to stick around for awhile? We know that as a traveling instructor, blowing through town for one or two workshops over and over, always landing in a new place - it can be exhausting.
You wish you had more time to get to know the students, deepen their experience with your workshop curriculum, and just dance together!
We’re fortunate to have the ability to host guest instructors for longer residencies that give you the opportunity to build lasting relationships.
1-4 weeks long: duration is flexible; let us know what you’d like!
Housing provided at Amy’s house:
In SF: home located in the mission district, one mile (10 min by city bike) to the SF studio. The space is a private room with bathroom in shared home.
In PDX: home located .7 miles from the studio, up a large hill (Vista St) in the Goose Hollow area of Portland. Private room and bath in shared home.
You provide your own meals and transportation.
Get to know the area: Our Founder, Amy or one of our instructors will happily show you around town!
Build your schedule: Create something that suits you. Teach weekly classes on a regular schedule, host a series, or teach intensives for deeper learning.

Got more questions?
-
Sure! Get in touch and let us know what you had in mind. We’re happy to talk about customizing our standard workshop specs.
-
Absolutely! We’ll post about your upcoming workshop on social media 3 weeks before the date, again as it approaches, and repost anything you tag us in. Please be sure to provide us with photos and videos representative of your workshop content.
-
Please do! You know what skills your students will need to be successful. In your workshop description, please be sure to mention any critical skills or knowledge students should come in with.
Also be sure to describe what students should wear - sweatpants, their sexiest polewear, or something in between?
-
Yes! You must charge a minimum of $80 per person. You may charge more, but this is the baseline rate for privates in our spaces.
Our studio rental feel is $20/hr. When a student requests a private with you, send the rental fee to the studio via Venmo. Include the desired day and the time of the private in the note on Venmo. We’ll reach out if there are any scheduling conflicts.
Add $10 to the rental fee for any additional students in semi-privates - so $30 for a 2-student semi-private.
At the time of the private, be sure that the student has signed a digital or paper waiver.
-
Yes, you’re welcome to teach at any studio of your choice, including other pole dance studios in the region!
However, we do ask that you notify us if you’re teaching nearby so we can make scheduling considerations.
