Pole, Aerial, Flex, and Yoga Instructors

Pole + Dance Studio Instructors are curious, passionate, dedicated people. We strive to create a community, not just a dance studio. We want to hire people who genuinely enjoy helping students craft a joyful, rewarding pole and aerial journey.

The process: We hire mainly via paid audition. We recommend that you have at least 1 year of in-person group teaching experience before you audition. However, we may override this recommendation on a case-by-case basis, as we do not want this to exclude strippers or others who may be excellent instructors. If you are unsure, feel free to reach out and get in touch with us. Note we are currently only seeking instructors at L2/Intermediate level and higher.

Our expectations: You should be confident running a group pole or aerial class from start to finish with exceptional understanding of how to run a warm up, plan class curriculum, break down movements into progressive pieces, spot each skill using your entire body if necessary, and manage a classroom. We expect instructors to keep everyone safe, engaged, and progressing together. We allow only two auditions per year, so you should come fully prepared and ready to teach an excellent class in your audition.

Additionally, we use online communication and multiple apps to connect our staff and update the team about policies, events, and company changes. If online communication is not something you enjoy or work well with, our studios will not be a good fit for you.

The schedule: Instructor hours vary: classes generally run between 4:30-8:30pm on weekdays and 10am-3pm on weekends. We also run morning classes several days a week. There are opportunities to pick up additional private lessons and private events.

Pole + Dance Front Desk Managers

The Front Desk Manager (FDM) is the face of a Pole + Dance studio. The FDM is the first and last interaction students have with our business. They get students checked in, educate clients about classes and pricing options, and give tours of the studio. They also help manage student accounts, keep the studios clean, and sell class packages.

The process: We hire via online application, followed by job shadowing and a working audition.

Our expectations: The FDM should embody the studio code of conduct. This person should be friendly, kind, patient, and highly motivated by community building. Additionally, we look for:

  • 1+ years working front desk and/or other customer service positions

  • Problem-solving skills, patience explaining the same information over and over, and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of dance and fitness communities (preferred, not required)

  • Strong conversational and customer service skills, including sales

  • Ability to move large boxes and water containers, and use a ladder

  • Comfort using software and apps, including Google Suite and spreadsheets

The schedule: FDM hours vary depending on the studio, but are typically between 4-9pm M-F or 9am-2pm on the weekend. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.
